Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully as you are legally bound by them when continuing to use this website or placing an order with The Display Link Limited. Please contact us if you require clarification on any of the points below.


Conditions of Use of the Website

Thank you for visiting our website. As a visitor, you acknowledge and agree that any reliance on or use by you of any information available on this website shall be entirely at your own risk. By accessing or using the website, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions, if

you do not accept the terms and conditions of this Agreement, you are not authorised to use the website. In no event will The Display Link Limited be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or exemplary damages arising from the use or the performance of this website or information downloaded from it.


E&OE

All product specification is for reference only and measurements may be approximate. The Display Link Limited endeavours to publish information that is as accurate as possible, however there may be slight variations from time to time. We reserve the right to withdraw any items at any time and will not honour mistakes on our website made for any reason.


Use of Information

The copyright and other intellectual property rights for all content on this website is owned by The Display Link Limited. The information given on our website such as text, images and downloads, is provided for the use of customers of The Display Link Limited only. Images and text should not be downloaded and re-published for use for marketing purposes.


Acceptance of an Order

The legally binding contract is complete when The Display Link Limited accepts an order. The order is not necessarily accepted at point of order, even when an order confirmation has been provided. We reserve the right to cancel an order for any reason up to the point of delivery.


Pricing

The costs advertised on our website are exclusive of VAT and delivery charges. We reserve the right to amend prices and remove any special offers or discounts at any time without notice.


Guarantees

Most hardware and electrical items we supply are covered by a manufacturer’s guarantee. Products classified as 'consumable' items such as graphic prints, carry bags etc. are not subject to guarantee.

If your goods fail due to a manufacturing defects during the manufacturer’s guarantee period you should contact us first to discuss the nature of the issue. We may ask you to return the product to us whereby we will inspect the goods and if necessary repair, replace or return the item to the manufacturer for further inspection. The Display Link or manufacturers decision is final.


Payment Terms

We can accept most major credit cards (currently not AMEX) or payment can be made via a BACs transfer. We may require payment before we can proceed with your order. Should you wish to pay for your invoice by cheque please make all cheques payable to The Display Link Limited, allowing sufficient time for the cheque to be cleared before the goods are despatched. Please note that if a pre-arranged credit line has been extended The Display Link credit terms of payment are 30 days from date of invoice. If in default The Display Link reserves the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at a rate of 3% per month or part thereof. The Display Link also reserves the right to claim back any costs incurred from credit agencies who may be used to obtain payment. The company reserves the right to withhold despatch of orders if the account is in arrears.


Supply of Artwork

Before submitting artwork, it is the customers responsibility to check that artwork is of the correct size, format and specification for the product ordered. All dimensions, templates and specifications are provided for each product on our website (If you cannot find an example of artwork please contact us). We will check supplied artwork for suitability and will advise if there are any obvious issues with artwork provided. We do not make in depth checks of supplied artwork including spelling, grammar and resolution of files unless we are specifically asked to. The Display Link Limited cannot be held responsible for any errors on original artwork files; or any delays or costs incurred if we are provided with unsuitable artwork files. We only supply PDF printing proofs on request or if we need to seek clarification prior to print.


Artwork Service

We offer an artwork service for those customers who require some assistance with setting up their artwork, price available on request.


Production Turnaround

Turnaround times differ greatly from one product to another. Please contact us for up to date lead times. We offer a faster 'express service' on many items at an additional cost. If you wish to fasttrack production of your goods you should contact us prior to placing your order to discuss your deadline and to make sure it is achievable.


Delivery

Standard Next Working Day

The customer should provide The Display Link with full delivery details when placing their order including any special delivery instructions.

Our standard next working day delivery time is taken from the day that we dispatch your goods. Standard deliveries are usually made on a next working day basis between 8am-6pm (Monday - Friday), timed deliveries are available at an extra charge (please advise when placing your order). A signature is required for the delivery. Please allow sufficient time for the delivery to be made, our cut off time for next day delivery is 2pm for completed orders. Our standard delivery costs and lead times are based on mainland UK addresses only.

Customer Arranging Collection

When using your own courier it is your responsibility to make the arrangements with your courier and provide us with the relevant documentation to attach to your packages. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for any problems resulting from your courier not collecting from us, delays in the collection or only collecting part of the order from us. Goods collected by your own courier are deemed to be in good condition at time of collection and The Display Link will not be responsible for transit damage in cases of customer collection.

Re-delivery. If delivery is attempted and no one is available to sign for the goods then the delivery will usually be reattempted the following working day. After 2 failed delivery attempts goods will be returned to The Display Link Limited and an additional delivery charge will be applied should you wish for us to re-dispatch the order.

Late Deliveries

We will always aim to keep you fully informed of any potential delivery or production delays, however we cannot be held responsible for resolving problems which are outside of our control, for example extreme weather conditions. The Display Link will not be liable for any losses or consequential losses caused by late deliveries or courier problems when we have carried customer instructions. For this reason we recommend arranging for deliveries in advance of time-sensitive events. For high value items we recommend customers take out additional insurance cover. In the event of goods being lost in transit or mis-routed, The Display Link will start searches from the point we are notified of the issue.

Inspection of goods on delivery

Parcels should be inspected closely before signing for goods and please ensure that you check all items before you accept and sign for the delivery. While every effort is made to ensure your order is perfect, sometimes problems may arise either in transit or in the production of your order. The Display Link will not provide compensation for losses or subsequent losses caused due to customer printing errors, late deliveries or missing or incorrect items. It is therefore advised that all orders must be checked and any problems reported within 48 hours of receipt. You should always assemble your stand BEFORE taking it to your event or passing to your customer so if there are any problems they can be quickly resolved. If your order is being delivered direct to you customer, please ensure the Terms and Conditions of delivery are passed on to them: The Display Link Limited requires all customers to inspect their goods thoroughly before signing for them. THE DISPLAY LINK WILL NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY FOR DAMAGED GOODS WHICH HAVE BEEN SIGNED FOR IN GOOD CONDITION or SIGNED UNCHECKED.


Damaged goods

It is paramount that all goods must be checked at time of delivery before signing for the item(s). If you inspect goods and find any damage then please signed as damaged on all paperwork, ensuring this is noted with the delivery driver. This will ensure that the consignment is returned to us where it can be inspected, repaired/replaced and ultimately redelivered. If goods are signed for unchecked and are subsequently found to be damaged then it is the customers responsibility to return them to us for repair/replacement. Regrettably we cannot offer a free collection of damaged goods that have been accepted and signed for at time of delivery.


Publishing photos / examples of work

From time to time we may take photographs of finished customer orders for quality control purposes or to be used as examples of our work. Such images could be published on our own website www.thedisplaylink.co.uk or on social media. Please inform us if you would rather us not use publish pictures of your work or take / store images.


Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your order for any reason, you can do this anytime up until the goods are in production. Cancellations must be made in writing to studio@thedisplaylink.co.uk quoting the order number and reason for cancellation. As goods are made to order, unfortunately once they are in production you will be liable to pay for them. We will not automatically assume that an order is cancelled if payment or artwork is not received. You will need to inform us as per the cancellation policy to cancel an order. For non printed products which are bought to order there may be a re-stocking fee for cancelled orders of up to 20% of the value of the goods plus the shipping cost for us to return them to the supplier.
